Oscar's Fourth Birthday
Oscar celebrated with a big boy bike and a trip to Elmwood Park Zoo, where he went for his very first pony ride.
Playing Catch at the Treehouse
While Gabe was away, the kids and I took a road trip to Michigan. Here are Oscar and I playing ball in my parents' yard. O calls their place the Treehouse. :) Photos courtesy of his Uncle Sean.
Suriname Send-Off
Gabe spent the month of September in Suriname for work. Here are some pics of the kids sending him off.

Rory is 10(ish) Months Old
Can you believe it? Rory is 10.5 months old, and she is keeping us very busy. I had intended to do a blog entry for her at nine months, and then, well, I'm not sure what happened!
Rory is definitely a mover and a shaker, and she keeps her brother, Gabe and I on our toes. She is regularly saying "Mama" and "Dada," and she has recently started in with "Ogga," which we're pretty sure is "Oscar." :) She loves perusing and eating magazines and catalogues, picking at the carpet, trying new finger foods, and she has mad sippy cup skills. R is cruising now, and she enjoys bellying up to Oscar's train table and giving his track layout the Godzilla treatment. When we're outside she sticks to crawling, probably so that she can more easily access fists full of dirt and dried leaves to shove in her mouth. She is totally going to be the kid who eats glue in kindergarten. We are so enjoying our delightful, destructive, funny little girl. :)
Here are a couple of pics of Rory playing and snoozing outside on Easter.
