This is really belated, but Atticus Jude and Joaquin Robert joined us on the outside on August 4, 2010. Atticus was born at 4:46 pm, weighing in at 4 pounds 7 ounces, and Joaquin followed at 4:49 pm, weighing 5 pounds 10 ounces. Though the boys came early at 34 weeks, they both had great APGARS and were downright strapping, as far as preemies go. They did spend 16 days in the NICU, to address complications from the Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome that we had been dealing with throughout the pregnancy.
The time immediately following the birth was kind of wacky and fraught, and we were so, so happy when we were finally able to bring our babies home. Now, almost four months later, here we are, and life is very good.
